Let me get to that in a second, but first I want to set the scene for why these trades make sense for both sides.
The Tennessee Titans were a few good plays away from being in the Super Bowl last season, and they did their best to reflect that in their offseason moves. Adding Vic Beasley to help increase the pass rush and then adding guys like Isaiah Wilson and Darrynton Evans in the draft to reaffirm their commitment to running the ball.
Any move the Titans make won’t be to shift too far away from their offseason goals of an improved pass rush and a run-heavy offense.
Washington is in the complete opposite situation and despite coming off of a season where they picked second, the immediate impact of that rookie class isn’t going to be much. They only have two picks in the top-100 and both of the players they drafted are scheduled to play behind future Hall of Famers.
